Using the Style Guide, https://www.waze.com/wiki/Junction_Style_Guide#Geometry, i’m trying to work out the best geometery to use to force the “Keep Right” for the “Main” A27 going southbound, and a “Keep Left” for the junction. Because the A27 is a Minor Highway, this doesn’t appear possible. The current junction is 6 degrees for the ramp.
Best bet to learn will be (in this case) have a look at leocylau’s work and implementation once updated and saved that junction…

Not specifically, I was thinking that the best way to learn stuff (generally) with waze is to see what others have done. If you come across an issue, post it to downlock or it will be fixed. If fixed, go look at the fix and save for later use/fixes where appropriate…
Those look a nightmare! They work and give appropriate TTS instructions?
My hack work perfectly. have been using it quite a while with no problem, no UR raised.
Very simple to add.
1st to pave 2 parallel segments, 1 main road, 1 sliproad. Then add 2 ramp type segments to form a cross close to the first junction.
The main benefit is it prevents ‘on and off’, ie. from sliproad to main road then back to sliproad that we do not want

It’s a bit cheeky to naming the segment joining the sliproad to A27 (W). I can’t simply name it ‘Entry to A27 (W)’ as usual as the road mark on this park of A27 says ‘A32’. I can’t either to name it ‘Entry to A32’ as it is not. So I decided to name it ‘Entry to A27 (W) & A32)’.
Not a problem, thanks for doing so. You’ve fixed the southern issue, but not the northern one before the UR where the same applies, so i’ll copy that over later.
My guess is it’s to force a sufficent angle (20/30 degrees, according to the wiki) to force the Keep Left/Keep Right, without making a silly looking jump in either the ramp or the A32/A27.
Oops! Sorry I missed the North one. For this one, it is different from the South one. There is a similar issued has been discussed on other thread. It’s related to lane selection. Some ppl likes to have ‘keep right’ instruction for the go straight direction but some ppl doesn’t. So it is an argument point here. Should we have ‘keep right’ instruction here? I’ve no preference.
wolfsbane2k, I’ll let you to decide it. Bearing in mind that waze may implement ‘Lane Selection’ feature in the future and then it’ll resolve our argument.
I try and force a “Keep Right” for straight ahead if a “normal” lane that isn’t marked with “junction” lines on the road surface don’t continue straight on, as happens on the Northbound section here. I drive the area occasionally, and I still come a cropper on “Which lane do i want?” at this junction, as it is confusing, but not as much as the southern junction ( who comes off the main road to go straight ahead?)
Yes, Lane Selection will screw this up some more - And will give us new editors a long time to count up the edits
Thanks for the tweak at the UR. I thought that as long as the Departure (what i thought was the Junction ) Angle was 20/30 degrees, then it would cause the Keep Left/Keep Right - Whereas you have tweaked it to a 25* angle on the A27 and the ramp, so both have a 25* departure angle from the Normal.
I guess that’s the Magic - Knowing the difference between the Depature angle and the Junction angle… they aren’t they same!
