Hello using iPhone app, went to log prices today and entered price 131.9 and it would default to 131.8
I tried this in all gas type prices and they all corrected to xxx.8?

When searching for Garages, what is the radious of the search? Can it be expanded for the UK as garages are getting stretched out here
And when driving and you know you going to come to a garage I try and get the garage loaded up to add the prices, but I have to be as good as in the forecourt for waze to recognise the garage. again a radious question
The price entry problem has been reported to Waze, and should get fixed in the next version (soon).
The search radius is also a problem. Don’t know if Waze plan to increase it. You’ll get more results if you add a stop to an existing route.
As for updating, you do need to be very close to the station. If doing a ‘drive-by’ update (as a passenger), click on the “Fuel Prices” button just as you get close to it. You can submit prices even after you’ve left it behind.
I tried this for my local petrol station - didn’t have time to fill in the details at the traffic lights, so left it on the data input screen and waited for the few minutes it took for me to get home. As I approached my home the data input screen automatically disappeared (presumably because I had arrived at my destination) and I couldn’t bring up the screen up again as I was too far from the petrol station by that stage. Perhaps this is just a bug (iPhone app), but it’s not helpful for people trying to contribute to this system.
Also, when I did eventually manage to input the price it said it wouldn’t appear until other wazers confirm it. Given that this petrol station has never even appeared on waze until I added it (despite it existing for years), what are the chances that anyone else will confirm the details? I want to help as I like the waze concept, but feel like I’m wasting my time…
The system is designed so that ideally you update the price whilst stopped at the station.
This is a new one on me, I didn’t realise there were any peer confirmations in the fuel price updating?!
The fuel stations have only existed on Waze for a number of weeks. And even then only those that the major brands told us about - a number of independent or newer stations will have to be added manually.
Every little helps. Can you confirm the location and we can check everything is ok with the station itself?
I tend to find that the petrol station is so busy that if I stop for more than 10 s longer than it takes to fill up then some angry bloke will tap on my window and start shouting. Besides which, I thought we weren’t supposed to be using mobile phones at petrol stations? Anyway, I was just reporting the “bug” that makes Timbones’ suggestion ineffective.
I only added it this week, so it doesn’t appear in the map tiles, but it is now visible as a gas station destination in the mobile client and in the list of nearby gas stations when you choose the report gas price option.
That one rings a bell, I seem to remember adding it myself?! Will check later. But yes, they appear in the petrol station list far quicker than the landmark appears!
