Getting Waze to Work

Every once and a while I like to see the curves coming up in a road that I know, but do not know very well. Tonight I tried Waze again and still have bad luck with it. It took me 7 tries for it to finally find a very common business address. Then I finally got it to give me the route. Then it stopped and wouldn’t update.

I thought maybe this was due to poor signal strength of my cell phone, but when the signal finally became strong again, the map wouldn’t update. Finally it updated and said to drive to highlighted route. I was on the only road to this location from the direction I was going and so it failed me again. This happens numerous times.

I use a Droid Razr with the latest icecream sandwhich updated version. Is it the poor signal strength in our area or does waze only work in bigger cities where there are more waze users? I could be the only waze user around this area. I am in the center of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and use Verizon.

Not too sure what your talking about looking at curves on a road that your somewhat familiar with?? However, I too have noticed on occasion that the navigation feature will cut out but a simple fix is to click navigate again. I’m not sure if this is an app issue, carrier issue etc. If Waze isn’t sending you to the right address, maybe you can update the map to fix it. It’s easy to do, just read the wiki!! :smiley:
