Cannot get Waze to work completly

downloaded waze and would tell me where I am, however would not get directions to anywhere.
Please advise

Hi,
difficult to give any advice with that little information provided. Did you have GPS and network connection? Where are you, where did you want to go? Waze is a work in progress so your target might not be in the database yet or roads to go there might be missing.

Peter

A little more detail. I have a droid eris by htc, I have well now it now has me located in the middle of Puget Sound. I put in a new address(I have no old addresses). I can put in an address however there is no place to enter it or next or anything.
Same way with adding my screen name I can put it in and no place to enter it or next.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
ah, sorry, can’t help with Android, I am on Windows Mobile (though with an HTC device too…).
My waze keyboard has a button “search” when entering a new address, then waze will output what it has found. Just tap on any of the search results and a box will appear where you can choose to navigat, show on map etc. If your target is unknown to waze you will of course not be able to go there.
When entering profile data etc. my keyboard has a button “done” instead of “search” and using this button the input is saved.
Nothing like that with Android?

 Peter

When using Android, you can start the search by pressing the button with the magnifying glass in the bottom-right corner.

The Android menu options are activated, like similar Android apps, using the menu button.
The ‘back’ button opens an option to shut down or hibernate the application.

I have the droid Eris, you have to hit the return key on the keypad, however if you mess up and minimize the keyboard you no longer have the option to enter, so you only get one shot to enter it… at least that is how it has worked for me.

We released a new release today - can you check if that is still applicable with it ?
