We recently attempted to get to the Golf And Mountain Cottages located at Jay Peak ski resort in VT. We searched for it in Waze and found it saved in Waze as a map location entitled “Golf And Mountain Cottages.” The address Waze associated with that map location is 656 Morse Road, Jay, VT. That’s incorrect. If you drive there, you’ll end up in the middle of nowhere, and your cell service will fail, and you won’t have any idea where to go. I wish Waze let you click on “map issue” when you go back to a previously-visited address in your history and tap the three little dots to the right of the listed address you already visited. That way, I could have reported the address as being incorrect. It’s hard to report incorrect addresses or map issues while you’re driving…for obvious reasons.
Thanks for your report. We added a pin for that in Waze a day after this message. It is now live on the app. However, the source of your original issue arose from a badly misplaced Google Maps pin, from which a location was derived because the target wasn’t in Waze. I’ve put in a request for a change in location of the GMap pin but we have no control over that process.
In your app, you need to re-do a search for “Golf & Mountain Cottages” since updates to the map are not change in saved pins on the app. If you’ve saved that pin as Home or Work, it needs to be deleted and not used.
As for the reporting issue, the cell service is a big hindrance that we recognize. As volunteers, we also do not control the programming for the app but your idea has merit. Suggestions can be sent to Waze support at
