Hello there from another newbie :o)

Evening all, just a brief hello to introduce myself. Been using Waze for a couple of years in Oz, and have been using it extensively back in the UK before moving to Thailand in a few months. After using it as a driver in Australia, and having always loved Sim City  I thought I’d give this map editing thing a bash here in UK, before braving the comparatively untouched Waze world of Thailand.

What an eye-opener! Never knew this side of Waze existed, and am now on a steep learning curve. Just trying to cut my teeth on parking lots, street names and limits, and local business’s details.

A question I have, is what’s considered the primary interface for map editing? I tried to use iPad on iOS11 and it’s bloody clunky, so I’ve gone back to using a laptop, which I never normally use and isn’t great for on the move. Am I missing something, or is there an alternative interface thats’s good for WME?

Thanks again all

Toby.

Hi Toby,

Laptop is the only way to edit and keep your sanity - most editors I know are using the Chrome browser, for compatibility with some of the helper addin-scripts you start to accumulate as you edit more.

the wiki for the UK is in my signature below - there’s a Thailand equivalent which you should read when you start editing there too as they may have slightly different conventions/guidelines.

cheers
