Help in Cremorne

Hi All

Have a look at this -
https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&lat=-33.82743&lon=151.2207&layers=BFTFFTTTTTTTFTTTTTTTTTTFT&segments=103631034

If I make any alteration to the highlighted section of Sutherland St, I get “While you were editing, the elements you’re trying to save have been modified and/or deleted.
Please refresh and try again”

What am I doing wrong?

I think it may be related to the lost map edits.

There is nothing ‘lost’ normaly. So not to much panic

There is a huge sync issue and a few others going on. Infrastructure team is working on it.

Does that mean that there’s nothing that can be done to fix it until the sync issue is fixed?

No, in these situations I make a note for myself with permalinks of areas that I have to check…

I have essentially stopped editing. There is a whole bunch of my edits missing and when I try to attack other areas I keep getting errors. Think I’ll wait till my edits return or we get an official announcement from Google/Waze HO.

In the last few days I was getting both errors while saving, but another insidious problem is that a Save can silently fail without giving you any indication that any changes have been made. Example:
https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&lat=-33.77624&lon=150.98386&layers=BFTFFTTTTFTTFTTTTTTTTTFTT&segments=100308740. In the last week, I’ve tried to unlock this selected street and rename it to its abbreviated form. The changes can be made, and these changes saved, but the changes don’t seem to stick immediately and also don’t seem to have been made permanent over the days since those changes were saved. It’s not affecting all streets everywhere, but certainly affecting this region where there are still some level-4 locked streets.

I’ve thus cut back a lot in editing in the last week due to these two issues: errors while saving, and changes not actually being saved.

The problem is for certain maptiles. That’s also has to do with the client tile update that went wrong. They expected to have fresh tiles yesterday, but I guess the issue is a bit more complex then expected. Working in another ‘tile’ for now is the best solution. But I’m pretty sure al changes you all made will show up again.

There is enough work to do  so keep going
