Help!!! :?
Last night I was just adding a car park and drive through at the Macca’s in Cooma (following my Sunday ski trip
) and attaching the entrance to the Monaro Hwy seemed to cause each end of the Hwy segment to have all its turns disabled. Edits to either end of the segment wouldn’t save with one end highlighted in the save error message.
.
I’ve tried everything the wiki suggested :
https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/WME_errors#While_you_were_editing.2C_the_elements_you.27re_trying_to_save_have_been_modified_and.2For_deleted
And even tried deleting the segments connecting to the highlighted node. I’ve managed to delete the side streets but the highway segments wouldn’t. (I’ll put the side streets back when this is fixed.)
I’ve tried rebooting my computer, used a different computer… and waited overnight to see if it would fix itself…
I’m stuck.
jebus ive made a mess of that.
tried to delete the affected part. nup
cut the segment
dragged it to the other node.
cannot get rid of rouge segment.
maybe itll go after tile update
how was ur trip?
Never mind, same forme as well
Right, what you’re facing here is a sync error. Only thing you can do is wait for the next map tiles update, this usually fixes it.
When I first run into one, I tryed to add a street, and absolutely nothing happened, the street vanished after saving - so I gave up. After the tiles update I had 9 segments neatly stapled over one another.
So if you run into a thing like that, best to bookmark a permalink, leave and come back after a tile update
Thanks Nibby (& Caradellino),
I’ve see you’ve created a parallel segment of the highway that’s all connected up, so the next tile update should still let a route go through here. Brilliant!
After the update I can delete the redundant and troublesome segment (hopefully).
The ski trip was good, just took the family for the day. Sunny, light winds and while busy on some lifts not too bad.
Long day though. Lots of traffic on the way back. A bit slow, even stop start on Alpine Way turning on to Kosciuszko Rd and again heading into Cooma. Threw in some traffic reports Stopped at Maccas for a coffee and snacks and that’s where I thought it would be good to add the car park and drive through to stop Waze snapping me to the highway or side street… and that’s when this trouble started.
Hi guys,
Just letting you know that the tile update to 22 July has fixed this.
I’ve been able to delete the problematic/ bypassed segment, and have added the Macca’s carpark.
Thanks for your help and advice.
Cheers
