Help with Elgin request - what to do?

Is there help on how to handle Elgin closure requests.

I don’t think that I’m able to do anything about it, but this Elgin notice has appear and I was wondering what is the correct way to handle this? This notice is for 1 week.

There is a second one here, but this is just for a single day.

Hi there,
The real-time closure feature is only available to L3 AMs and above at the moment so no, you’re not able to action them yourself at the moment.

Leave them there, and someone with the rights (hi Iain) will come along shortly and add any road closures needed.

And indeed, I added the closure the night before it started :mrgreen:

At least 50% of my Waze time is now taken up with actioning the Elgin closure reports - several hundred a week and several thousand since they started appearing. I work the entire country tackling the closures in date order and I’m generally somewhere between a couple of days and a week ahead of the game. However it doesn’t help that new closures get added to the map at midnight; and at 1am; and, I think, at least one other time during the day.

For any closure that is on the map more than a day in advance of it’s commencement, I will normally get to it before it’s due. But if you see a closure for an important road that is getting close, you can always post an Editor Request to have the closure added.

That’s a brutal schedule and I guess that there’s never an end in sight.

Ok. I’ll keep an eye on those around here and post if appropriate…
