Can I select a location rather than an address for my home location

Yes, it’s no problem. When you go to your favorites/saved-places and edit “HOME” just search for whatever destination you want. In the example below, I hit “edit home” then searched for Taco Bell 
Should work for any Place in the Waze or Google databases.
