Incorrect Entrance to Condo - Help Needed!

Hi everyone,

I am reaching out to the community to adjust the entrance location for our condo development in Miami. The map appears to not see that the Park Grove development is complete and our driveway now goes all the way through from S Bayshore Drive to Mary Street. It is one way and the Mary Street entrance is only for residents. Unfortunately, all shared ride services, deliveries, guests are currently being routed to the Mary Street entrance where they cannot enter and must then back into traffic to turn around and go to the S Bayshore entrance where the security gatehouse is.

The effected addresses are:

2811 S Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL 33133
2821 S Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL 33133
2831 S Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL 33133

I’ve attached a picture which should help.

The Blue is the road for the driveway that connects Bayshore but is not currently present in the map
The Red is the incorrect entrance location
The Green arrow is the direction of traffic in the driveway

The red segment on my screenshot is now connecting the existing to S Bayshore Dr? And it is One-Way from S Bayshore Dr?

That’s right!

I have added the extension parking lot road and made it one way as you indicated.
I have also added a gate at the other location you indicated so it will not normally route people through that gate. The problem is Waze is not currently set up to identify one or more entrances for residents and one or more for guests/deliveries. Waze is designed for commuters vs. delivery drivers so routes for residents usually.

The changes should appear on the app in 2-3 days but may take up to a week in certain circumstances.

Question - I am seeing a report that seems to indicate that the whole parking lot road is One-Way from S Bayshore to Mary. Is that correct?
Also, I am having trouble identifying 2811, 2821 and 2831 from the county GIS map - they are not on it. Which buildings are which?
I have found 2811 and 2831. Is 2821 the other rounded half of 2811?

As to your questions,

  1. Yes the entire road is one way from Bayshore to Mary.

  2. I’ve attached an image showing which buildings are which. In reality they are all part of the same complex and driveway so it shouldn’t matter as long as those looking for directions get routed to the entrance at Bayshore.

OK I will make sure the correct buildings are marked and change the whole PLR to one way. So it is EXIT only onto Mary?

Residents can enter at the Mary Street entrance and drive the opposite direction for a very short distance to enter the garage but otherwise yes it is one way the only way to EXIT the property is on Mary. You CANNOT exit onto Bayshore.

Great - making the final adjustments. I have put Residential Place Points on each building to enable routing to that building via the parking lot road. I will leave the gate and partial 2-way at the Mary entrance. Because the Mary entrance is so close to 2831 there might still be a problem with deliveries routed to the Mary entrance though. Hopefully, in the future, waze will give us a way to indicate Residents vs Guests/deliveries at the entrances.

Hi there - is there any way to confirm if the changes actually went through? When I go into the app the map still looks the same for me. Thanks again!

In the app you should see the parking lot road connected to S Bayshore, Also you should be routed to 2811 etc from S Bayshore entrance. I just checked in my app and it is routing correctly.
