Okay, I’ve been a Waze user for a number of months and I drive a fair amount so I now have over 40,000 points. What I’ve never understood is how some users manage to accumulate hundreds of thousands or millions of points, but I just shrugged it off. Until yesterday.
Yesterday I saw someone (“BadAsianDriver”) who had more than 268,000 points and supposedly had been a Waze member for about a month. Generously assuming this person has been a member for two months and ignoring the occasional bonus points, BadAsianDriver would have had to drive over 4000 miles every day for 60 days. How is that possible?
Are these high scorers cheating or somehow gaming the system?
You can’t really ignore the other points other than driving as they may be much more than the occasional bonus points. The majority of my points aren’t from mileage. That being said, many would say that the system is being gamed.
Not sure if this is still the case, but in the past there were problems with users that joined more than a year ago. They were shown as joined a month ago, while they joined a year and a month ago.
Is this data coming from the Scoreboard or from clicking on the Wazer’s icon in the Waze app and looking at the points and join date? If via clicking on the Wazer’s icon - we know that information is unreliable. Waze has tried to fix this particular issue more than once…
i agree with some glitch of old wazers that appear just joined when they are long time wazers,
but still there is something wrong…
i spend a lot of time editing, checking, posting…driving…but…
i don’t mean i’m interested making 1million pointin one night, i have my crown, i’m happy that i earned it in the right way, i’m proud to be part of the community, testing the betas and so on…
but sometime…
Well, something is happening in the weekly scoreboard… probably they are appearing the points form the people in the US server as if they were made in just one week…
