I’ve noticed a new user near me called techy3000 that has closed a lot of URs without actually doing anything about them, and made some dubious map edits. This user has never posted on the forum, and doesn’t respond on chat in the editor… I’ve sent them a private message, but they’re yet to respond. Not sure what I can do to educate them and stop them causing harm to the map…?

Closed UR for a Eglin road closure, no road closure was added:

Tesco’s car park, they’ve added all the extra unnecessary PLRs and some loops with not enough nodes:

Some of the edits are good though, and the message on this UR shows that they’re trying.

Had a quick look through this week’s edits - mostly great stuff. Fixed a load of dubious red turns, added some side streets. Will see if we can get him to visit the forum too.

Just a quick note to remind you that L1 editor can no longer close URs that are not created by themselves. One must assume if they have closed URs then they reported the issue, though a self note before solving would be nice :wink:

It appears techy3000 has done enough to earn L2 status, so the L1 restrictions on closing other URs doesn’t apply to them…

Clearly I’m never going to understand L1 > L2 requirements, thought it was upped to 3k edits, seems to be back to 1k edits :?

It is 3k, He/she has these, it is just that the total has not updated for 2 days during which time they made 1614 edits! Impressive for a L1. :smiley:
Brought into the fold, they could be a good addition to the team.

Clearly I’ve woken up too early. I’ll go back into hibernation for another week and see if it helps.
