I am having some issues getting search directions that I believe are the result of legacy business listings causing search requests on the app to direct to incorrect locations. I have used AI to clarify what I need help with because otherwise I’d ramble:
When users search for The Lodge at Spruce Peak, Waze frequently routes them to the golf course location instead of the Lodge. This creates significant confusion for guests, as the driving directions and arrival points for these destinations are different.
After investigating, it appears that old business names from around 2019 may still be influencing search results and destination matching:
- Stowe Mountain Lodge should be replaced by The Lodge at Spruce Peak
- Stowe Mountain Golf Course should be replaced by The Mountain Course at Spruce Peak
I have already submitted a request to update the golf course listing from Stowe Mountain Golf Course to The Mountain Course at Spruce Peak, but searches for The Lodge at Spruce Peak are still resolving to the golf course location.
Requested assistance:
- Remove or retire the legacy listings for Stowe Mountain Lodge and Stowe Mountain Golf Course.
- Ensure The Lodge at Spruce Peak (7412 Mountain Road, Stowe VT) exists as its own distinct business listing with the correct destination point at the Lodge entrance/check-in area.
- Ensure The Mountain Course at Spruce Peak (31135 Big Spruce Road, Stowe VT) remains a separate business and routes users to the golf course.
- Review any search aliases or historical place associations that may be causing The Lodge at Spruce Peak searches to resolve to the golf course.
This issue is impacting guest arrivals, with visitors attempting to reach the Lodge being directed to the wrong location. Any help identifying and correcting the underlying place association would be greatly appreciated.
