Just driven back from Northampton to Peterborough and there are signs at the A605/A14 junction & the A605/A1 junction saying that there will be overnight closures between 9th October and 1st December of the A605.

Cheers Stampy - the signs at the A1 end, did that suggest it was two-way or just northbound? roadworks.org suggests just northbound but as it’s single carriageway for most of it, it may just have been for expediency on the part of the chap who drew the closure into elgin.
roadworks.org is also showing it closed tonight, but google maps and traffic don’t agree so starting it on 9th, as you saw on the signs at the scene, sounds best option.
All the sign said was the dates and that it was closed overnight & weekends.
This was the sign just after the B662 roundabout near Lilford - which is the 1st warning of the closures heading towards Peterborough.
Due to drive down the A605 to Thrapston on Wednesday evening, I’ll report back if it’s closed…
Just an update…
No closure’s on the A605 on Wednesday night - although there were “ROAD CLOSED” signs placed in the middle of the islands (facing backwards) between the Warmington & Oundle roundabouts.

A605 closed this weekend from A1 Roundabout at Alwalton services to (I presume) the A14 junction at Thrapston.
NO signs warning of closure at Peterborough end.
The diversion is via A1 North to Alwalton (old A605) then SOUTHBOUND on A1 to A14*
*This is due to the roundabout at top of A1/A605 junction being closed, so you can’t go back.
I got caught out by it, stopped in the services and added the closure just before 4pm. Half of the A1 roundabout is open but the northern side is closed.
I’ll add the rest on the A605 when I get to a computer
A605 shut all this weekend between the B662 roundabout near Lilford and the roundabout with Oundle Road at Thrapston.
Closure is on there, but it’s shows that the closure is from 21:41 on Saturday 18th to 0600 on Monday 20th.
Road WAS closed when I tried to get past there at 1230 yesterday (Saturday) - in fact, there were 2 arctics trying to turn around in the Lilford Road - as there were NO signs saying the road was closed, until you got to the roundabout!!!
Thanks. I added that closure yesterday after a reconnoiter - I was going to Oundle and saw the “no-through-road” signs on A605 (all the way from A1 services junction), so followed it until the closure at the A605/B662 roundabout

Those signs were “flat on their backs” when I passed by yesterday!!!
Just to let you know, they’re closing the A605 (again) in sections between the A1 at Peterborough and the A14 at Thrapston…
There’s overnight and weekend closures from the roundabout at Oundle to the roundabout at Wigsthorpe, between 9th and 19th February…
The LED signs at Alwalton services and at the other end at Thrapston say that there will be:-

Regularly drive between Peterborough and Northampton on the A605 every weekend.
You’ll see the signs warning of the closure on the A605 Oundle by-pass heading towards Thrapston.
The other one is at the Pilton/Lilford/Wadenhoe roundabout between Oundle & Thrapston.
It’s certainly annoying to drive along there and NOT find out which bit is closed until you drive up to it… :o
