Can anyone see why Waze is giving a turn left instruction here when travelling Westbound along the A48? The 2 URs relating to this. There don’t appear to be any overlapping segments, but perhaps someone L4 can check that.
Thanks, Andrew

Check for geometry nodes close to the junction…
None… or at least not that I can see
A big puzzle!
As I was the last editor for that bit, I’ve rebuilt the junction. Perhaps we’ll get an update and it can be tested before too long.
Phew - slightly relieved that it wasn’t just me missing something obvious.
I think it’s because of the same-endpoints problem. That is, the minor road the Wazer is being directed into has no intermediate nodes, and neither does the main road between the two ends of the minor road.
My understanding is that the routing engine doesn’t actually send a list of road segments to the client. Instead it sends a list of nodes. So if there is more than one way of getting between two nodes without passing through another on the way, it will be random(ish) which one the client picks.
The solution is to create an extra node in one of the roads, by convention the less important one.
In case you think I’m a genius, not so, all I did was look at the area on WME with Validator enabled.
Good spot - but I use Validator all the time, so why wasn’t it highlighted when I looked yesterday?
Check again now and bingo, obvious error
Oh well, many thanks for you help.
Edit done - now I wonder how much longer we have to wait for our next tile update ![]()
Soon?
Yes - but only edits up to June 10th so hopefully will be in the next one
