I’ve upped the adjoining roads to minor highway since they are A roads with good gps traffic, but this roundabout betwixt them is locked (as are most roundabouts 'roundere).

Can you either down-lock to L3 or adjust, please. I am the L3 for this area.

I have made the adjustments on that roundabout.

I, too, am curious why there are several brand new, L4-locked roundabouts. I’ll follow up with a PM.

Thanks. Perhaps there was a history of roundabout-abuse in the area previously.

I’m a recently appointed L3 for the area, so I can keep an eye out.

I heard back from the other editor - that’s more or less the reason, although not specifically tied to this area. It’s more a general habit - he says he’ll be a bit more careful with his lock levels in future. :smiley:

There are also thoughts that it may prevent problems with roundabouts reverting to normal street-type segments and 0’th exit problems. I’ve got no evidence for that, but there are plenty of people who’ve been around longer than I have who may have experience to support it.

I don’t think there’s any reason to say “don’t lock roundabouts”. Just be sensitive about the level you lock it at if that’s what you’re doing.

I have downlocked all the roundabouts I could see to L3. Post back or PM me if I missed any.
