Can this segment be downlocked to a L1. This segment has a 6’6" width restriction on it. My understanding is that Waze doesn’t support this, and that we get around this by applying a vehicle based restriction, so my intention is to allow only cars to use this segment in both directions.
Please let me know if my intended solution is not the correct fix.
Adding vehicle based restrictions still will not make any difference. At the moment the Waze app only supports cars, taxis and motorcycles. If you add a restriction for a lorry, the app won’t do anything different.
It’s been pointed out to Waze that they offer these restrictions in the editor, and that they are confusing (especially for new editors), but unfortunately they have remained.
There is no way to restrict vehicles through those types of roads. They should be left as a normal, unrestricted street. I would suggest that if a driver has a vehicle that doesn’t fit through, they shouldn’t be using Waze, as it’s not designed for that type of car/van.
