Following a UR, it has been suggested the KL/KR instruction should be further back, having reread our discussion on Iain’s post from November, I agree (although I don’t think it necessarily deals with the UR).
Can we please have the the junction moved back to the 0-mile point at the gantry.

I’m going to say no on this one. First off, as you say, the UR is irrelevant - the driver was trying to report a closed road, nothing to do with the instructions.
Far more importantly, there is a second split on the LH direction from the requested split. That makes it important that the first split occurs at the physical separation point. If it is moved back, then the instruction for the second split could be given before the driver has reached the first split. So a driver heading for, say, A50 Cliff Lane to the north could be given 2 keep left instructions before the physical separation point of the first split. They might then assume that this is a mistake, or a repeated instruction; not take the second left split; and end up heading north on the M6.
