Yesterday I was driving in Gothenburg and encountered some problematic lane instructions.
Briefly, I was driving west from Liseberg on Örgrytevägen ([1] https://www.waze.com/en-GB/editor?env=row&lat=57.67578&lon=11.98622&zoomLevel=12&tab=feature_editor ) and heading towards Delsjövägen. The segment linked in [1] has lane instructions; the three lanes on the left go straight, while the rightmost one turns right. Which is correct in itself.
But immediately after that, you reach St Sigfrids plan ([2] https://www.waze.com/en-GB/editor?env=row&lat=57.67578&lon=11.98622&zoomLevel=12&tab=feature_editor ). Of the three remaining lanes, the two on the left go left towards Danska vägen, and only the right one goes straight towards Delsjövägen.
If you, like me, are heading to Delsjövägen, you receive lane instructions for the first intersection saying any of the three leftmost lanes are fine. If you happen to pick the leftmost one, you then only have 50 meters to make two lane changes.
Would it be correct to remove the lane instructions at [1]?
Would that result in getting the instructions for the next intersection [2] earlier?
(Small note: Previously, two of the lanes from [2] went straight, but now only one does. I have just updated this on the map.)
Without having looked at the actual situation, it sounds like “extended lane guidance” should be applied in the area. I can look into it further this evening. It is described in the Wiki.

Hi again, your permalinks aren’t working, could you try again?
