I notice you’ve put in an un-named walking trail nearby. There’s not a lot of point to this - Waze is intended for drivers and it only clutters the map. ![]()
There are specific cases where walking trails can be useful. For example, when you have a named street where you can’t reach the front door by driving, only from a pathway. In such cases a named walking trail can be used to match a google search result near the walking trail. Waze can then route appropriately to one end of it.
In this case, if you imagine someone searching for the address on the far NE end of West Ridge. If that returns a GPS location that is closest to your walking trail, the app will then try to navigate to the end closest to a driveable segment - which might be the A176 Laindon Road end. ![]()
