Requesting an unlock to connect these two roads in a downtown municipal parking lot. Or feel free to connect them for me. Probably could be reduced to just a single 2-way segment.

One more unlock (or you can do it for me) to get rid of this dog leg public parking lot entrance to Bret Harte Field, just down the street from the first Permalink.

I don’t know why the previous editor locked those segments of downtown Hayward at 4, but that particular editor hasn’t been active in over two years, and locking practice was not as well defined back then.
I’ve lowered the locks to 2, and fixed the Bret Harte field entrance, but there is a deeper issue here: downtown is not at all compliant with our CalTrans/Waze FC correspondence! Yikes!
@landoak, I’ll write to you separately to see if you’re interested in helping out in a bigger way in Hayward.
In the meantime, please go ahead with the proposed PLR connection. There are very few cases where we name PLRs, and this doesn’t look like it needs to be one of them. So in addition to combining them into a single two-way PLR (I like the way you think!) please remove the name.
As a reminder, once everything looks OK at the completion of an unlock/update request, please close it out as per the unlock/update posting guidelines ("Thank
