Level 5 - Ewing, NJ

This road is 2 lanes and splits, one lane in each direction. The primary road RT-29 does not indicate to keep right, can someone put enough angle on the junction or change the road type if necessary to correct this?

No.

Reasoning:

You’re not “going right” or “keeping right,” you’re going straight. Waze doesn’t give directions to “keep straight.” If the driver was taking that exit ramp, then Waze would tell them to “exit left.”

But if you want to continue on the main 2 lane road you must be in the right lane. the left lane exits. and then the right lane curves to the right and then opens back up to two lanes.

if the driver doesnt know the fast(left) lane is forced to exit, they wont know until its too late to get to the left.

Does SR-29 end there? If it does, then I would recommend putting them both ramps.

I was looking at Google Maps (for reference) and 29 doesn’t end there, thus it’s just a left hand exit.

You’re not going to convince me to change it. If you can find someone else to, by all means. I’ll even pass this on to the PA/NJ CM.

State Rte 29 “River Rd” continues and even though GBS show right it’s actually, continue. Therefore, I’m with txtemt on this.

I put a short wayfinder segment in there. I agree it is needed.

You’ll need to change road types so that both branches are the same. As it is, no instruction will be given to go to the right since it is a Minor Hwy to Minor Hwy continuation.

Thanks…its nice to know I’ve got a champ in my corner… jeez…though crowd around here…

I just think if you have a 2 lane road that splits, 1 lane in each direction, the client should indicate to which way(lane) you will be going. this is the street view:

This is the road jondrush had put wayfinders to tell the driver where to go. It is fine the way it is.
Will you be able to drive there and test perhaps?

yeah, my wife and I goto a yoga studio in Lambertville occasionally and her parents also live across the river in Newtown.

Great let me know what you find out.

I’m also looking over your shoulder . . .

Normally I’m against forcing a command at every split, but for this one, the straight through path looks like an exit, so it is a good solution here.
