I am a Level 1 Editor requesting a segment unlock for San Diego, CA requiring a Level 5 Editor:
Explanation: State Street crossing W Broadway currently shows no turns allowed (left, straight, or right). Allowed turns at this signal-controlled intersection (verified using Google Street View) are: straight to continue on one-way State St segment; left and right on to W Broadway.
Unlocked. So State Street is not under construction anymore, correct?
From what I can see, the building construction bounded by State, W Broadway, Union, and the jail tower took State St from a two-way to a single lane two-way; not closed entirely to vehicle traffic.
After taking a second look, I cannot be 100% certain that State isn’t single lane, one-way headed from W Broadway to F Street as the building finishes construction. Waze Editor flagged the intersection as both “recent” and “average drive” Wazers crossing W Broadway to the one-way State Street segment, which is what triggered my unlock request.
Your call if you want to leave it as-is for a while longer until someone can drive it and be certain.
Unless someone reading this thread knows for sure, I’ll drive by sometime this weekend and see what the current situation is.
Finally did a drive-by. The construction has been completed. State St is back to normal, 2-way directionality. Fyi just in case Waze uses old data and generates a missing road problem, the section of Union St that was marked as under construction is now actually completely gone and not coming back so I’ve deleted it.
