Reason for request: I’d like to create bow-ties here, so we can prohibit U-turns. (as per UR)
Would not it be a more elegant solution to shrink the length of this median segment from 16m to 14m to turn on the following Waze mechanizm of preventing U-turns: Preventing median U-turns
It wouldn’t strictly prohibit the u-turn, but it would indeed look nicer. We still need the unlock though 
By the way, with the release of the junction boxes (https://wiki.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=161967), it should all become even easier…
