Are we all agreed that we should lock to at least L2 for Highways (Freeway, Major Highway and Minor Highway)?
If so, I will start doing the locks slowly. Hope Waze doesn’t ban me for massive editing :mrgreen:

Just to add one more thing. I suggest to lock toll segment to as least L3 or L5 in case some foreign fellows come to mess them up.
I have locked all Highway type (FW, MH, mH) to L2 (or stay at its previous lock level if it was locked at above L2)
Additionally I also locked the ramps connecting to these Highways to L2. I might have missed out some, there are too many of them!! If any of you sees L1 ramps but connected to highways, please lock them to L2.
think of autolock. if any segment is higher than Auto L2, I suggest they should be left autolock. what do you guys think?
How does autolock work? From what I observe, all segments if you set to Auto, it will be just L1. At least this is what is happening in HK.

In simple, it depends on how many Wazers to use that segment.
To be honest, from my observation, I’ve never seen an auto-locked road being locked above L1 in HK. Is the auto-lock system effective in HK? Is it a country-dependent thing again?
:roll: I have a feeling that it has been discussed in the past and decided to only allow autolock L1. I maybe wrong.
Hmm…now that we have already manually locked highways to L2, perhaps we do not need to care about auto-locks?
not at the moment but just for the future. I have asked Waze to check our autolock and Waze is investigating the issue.

Should speed camera/red light cameras be locked to L2 too?
Because if I leave it at auto, it gets locked to whoever last edited the camera, so it only gets locked to higher and higher level by high rank editors.
hmm…good question. I do not touch any cams for a while in HK so we shouldn’t have any L5 or above. If we have any, you can post to unlock sub-forum for downlocking. I personally prefer at least L3 on Cams. What do you guys think?

Great. I have locked all of cam to L3 in HK island and Lantau Island except this one. It has been placed badly and I can’t confirm if it has cam there or not as no street view there.
All cams should be now locked to L3 but I may miss some of them.
Just realised that most of the cams are redlight cams. They should be set to 0 m/h, otherwise it wouldn’t trigger the audio warning.
This one I cannot confirm either. It’s on the Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macao Bridge, and it’s already outside HK’s border (hence no street view). It will be until next time I travel to China via that bridge before I can confirm the camera’s existence.
