Hi a lot of the London borough councils are implementing lower traffic neighbourhoods where they are closing a lot of residential streets to reduce rat running. These are to be trialed for 6 months and are being implemented over the next few months. The borough of Ealing where I live have began to implement these in my local neighbourhood. There are a number of closures along Junction Road which in effect means all roads onto it are being turned into crescents. I am wondering if its possible to be able to restrict turnings at junctions along Junction Road or if someone can help.
Adam
A lot of councils across the country are making many changes due to Government suggestions. We are mapping them as fast as we are learning about them.
For Junction Road, we can’t put closures across junctions without stopping traffic in all directions, so I have make physical changes to the map which will take a couple of days to reach the app.
Cheers for confirming this is now active.
The Ealing LTNs and School streets are popping up at a very hight rate. Information is difficult to find, but the Council notices can be found here https://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201033/council_and_local_decisions/641/public_notices/1 which lists notices by week, and the notices include the notice of ETOs, which in turn include high level information about he changes and start dates.
I haven’t had time to go through and see what’s been mapped and what hasn’t, but for example, I don’t think that the Oakland Primary School Scheme has been mapped yet (Notice here: https://www.ealing.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/15316/experimental_traffic_order_-_oaklands_primary_school_streets.pdf), and that’s due to come into force on 3rd September. I don’t have editing rights on these roads, but might be able to find some time to list the ETOs that have been published and work out if they have been mapped or not if that would be useful?
Rob.
Oakland Primary, Ark Prioy Primary, Grange Primary, Greenhill Academy, Mayfield Primary, Perivale Primary, St Mark’s Primary, St John’s Primary, Vicars Green School School Streets all added, also added the schools where missing.
Loveday Rd LTN starts on 2/09 & East Acton LTN starts on 7/09 so can’t be added yet.
