Hi Editors,
I’d appreciate your help with a map update.

Reason: So I live in one of the homes along this road, which is new. People can never find my house for deliveries or to come visit. The issue is that the address is technically along the road to the west, which is about 300 feet below me. My home is on the side of a very strong slope. So I have people trying to climb up the hill into the woods instead of coming to the front of the house which is along the linked segment. Also they have, a couple times this week, go to the road above me, walked through people’s yards, and ended up stuck because there is a cliff above me! So it would be awesome if we could get these segments on the map so people can find my front door. If you look at the satellite images, you can see the road.
Thank you in advance,
NET
Thanks for the heads up!
The map editors are volunteers, and we hadn’t stumbled across your report on the map yet.
I ‘finished’ the segment you’d paved from your app (thank you!) and it should go live within a few days.
I also disconnected the house numbers from the main segment for Sussex and attached them to the new segment.
Users will have to remove any instance of an affected address from their app’s history/saved/favorites/home/work/etc and search again to refresh the data.
This change will only affect Waze, btw. No other mapping product uses the Waze map. As for folks willing to bushwhack up a hill or through someone else’s backyard and over a fence … well, a navigation app probably can’t change their behavior or influence their choices in life.
May I suggest you ask your HOA or team up with your neighbors to place a sign at the bottom of your shared driveway, at the intersection with Sussex, indicating which house numbers are up said driveway? This would make your house numbers much more visible, especially to emergency services.
