Hello,
What’s best practise for mapping a taxi rank? I’ve done this, but not sure if it’s correct: https://waze.com/en-GB/editor?env=row&lat=52.57821&lon=1.72739&s=1125919355829525&zoomLevel=20&segments=410078587
Cheers,
Alex

Hi
The basic layout is fine. Just a few details:
When adding a “layby” style side road, it needs to consist of at least 2 sections to prevent having a loop. You may have found when adding this, the starting end did not automatically connect to prevent the loop - I have added a break in the road.
To prevent Waze routing along here, I have added the restriction “Taxi only” to the road.
While not exactly wrong, I would add the place as a point rather than an area. It is too small to show in the app and just clutters the map as an area.

Thanks Ian! Is there any more detail on avoiding loops? Why doesn’t WME like them?
Loops are to be avoided as it does not give the routing system the correct data. A loop means either way is equally acceptable, and this is rarely the case. Putting a break in the less preferred route gives the router better information for it to pick the correct route.
