Ramps
All entrances to or exits from freeways.
A proper freeway style ramp onto or off of a Highway.
Not for at grade “street” connectors.
Not for turn lanes.
Roads connecting a highway with a rest/service/parking area should be treated as ramps as well and named accordingly (e.g. “Exit to Service Area”).
Ramp names do not appear on the client application map, but do appear in the text for routing directions.

Hi guys!
We’re happy on the great initiative to edit the map of Cairo.
However - we do request that you won’t delete parts of the map that have been edited by others who invested a lot of work in it. Please delete roads only if necessary and definitely not massive deletion of roads!
Moreover, the instruction is to lock segments only to avoid damage to the map by other users.
Please DO NOT lock segments in order to make users come to the forum.
Keep in mind that we work at Waze as a community and not as individuals.
If we get complaints about massive locks / massive deletion of segments - we will have to take action.

do not worry, we’re not kids their first experience, we will try our best to edit the city of Cairo because a city of 24 million people initially deserves a mapping of the main streets and is what we will do first, then move on to roads less traveled important with the hope that some user help us in mapping.
Unfortunately we can not contact with the maker of the road other than that he once subscribed to the forum.
Only the main road from Cairo (the ring road) has been a tragedy.
It is much drag and muddle. :mrgreen:
New is simple but I will do my best to enforce the rules

The users who make these roads.
Too many to mention and because the roads must remain impossible to what to do.
Very Cairo is so full.
A good 4-lane highway can never be made.

I am trying to edit the speed limits in Egypt roads but it doesn’t work .
Or to assign police , radar , closure roads but doesn’t work .
Editing a better route is not working for me .
Should I do a special action to do it ?

First of all, Editing permissions are divided by rank. Once you reach a certain amount of map edits, you may be eligible for a rank upgrade. (Note: Map editing points are not the same as driving points)

You may need to read about every edit individually, because “assigning a new place” is not the same as “assigning a new street”. both requires different editing skills / permissions.

As an Egyptian, I can verify that some APP functions are not working in Egypt… Yes, this is true, but Map Editing is not the same. For example: Road Closure need L5 Editor in a self managed country… Egypt is not self managed and the highest native editor inside Egypt is L3… So, there is no “Closure” due to this… the function works ok without the ability to use it… We still able to close roads but with adding road restrictions or disconnect a segment etc.,

this would make you edit faster and would reflect upgrading your rank and gaining extra permissions. -
