It seems someone has removed most speed cameras on smart motorways.
M6 and M62
Why is this the case? Can they be added back?
Can you give a permalink to a sample location.
Many of the older HADECS2 cameras, grey boxes mounted above every lane, spaced quite frequently
have been replaced with the newer HADECS3 cameras, yellow boxes mounted on the side of gantries covering all lanes, spaced quite far apart.
This means that the number of mapped cameras have naturally reduced over the last year or two.
The gray ones were removed a long time ago.
I travel the motorways on a regular basis and for the past year the “newer HADECS3” you speak of have always been on waze but the past week they have been removed?
And as the M6 is over 200 miles long and the M62 over 100 miles long can you provide a permalink so we can have a look at a same area.
M6 From J21 all the way down to Birmingham around 80% of the cameras are gone.
M62 I can’t remember as I mostly travel M6 but there were a lot missing around Leeds.
The first camera as you search from M6 J21 is on the NB carriageway just south of Knutsford Services. And the on the SB carriageway a little further on. There are another 4 more before J18.
2 between J18 & J17.
4 between J17 & J16.
27 in the roadworks between J15 & J13.
4 between J13 & J12.
2 between J12 & J11.
3 between J11 & J10.
These show for me in both WME and in my App. As discussed in WME Chat this may be an issue in your App displaying cameras either due to a setting or hiccup when loading the data.
