Multiple searches for the same address show the wrong location

The problem is that when searching for 220 Melbourne st South brisbane, you get 4 different pins, for the same place. Only 1 is correct and they should all be moved to the same place.

I can not manually edit them through the Waze Map editor

“Unit 107/220 Melbourne St” - The Pin Should be at the same place as West end central apartments

“220 Melbourne St” - is totally in the wrong place. It should also be at the same place as the other pins.

Both Pins should be at “5 Edmondstone St, South Brisbane” - This is the entrance to the building.

Thanks for taking the time to send this through.

I can help fix this for you. I can either help explain how you make this edit yourself in the Waze Map Editor, or I can make the change for you, just let me know which you’d prefer.

Can you confirm that this address belongs to the West End Central Apartments? If so, the current entrance pin is set on Melbourne St (you can see the blue circle, which indicates the entry point). This can be updated so the entrance is on Edmondstone St instead by moving that blue circle.

Thanks for your response!

I’d be happy for you to do it, I’m quite new.

The entrance is on Edmondstone st, but the building has 2 addresses.

Yes it’s for West End Central Apartments

Sure thing, I’m happy to sort it out.

So I’ve shifted the entrance for West End Central Apartments to Edmondstone St (so if you search for that in the search box it’ll direct you to the adjacent street now).

I have also added a residential place point for 220 Melbourne St so that it directs drivers to Edmondstone St instead of Melbourne St. That’ll appear in the next map build in the next 24-48 hours.

In my experience, if you have historically driven to 220 Melbourne St prior to the update, you may also need to clear your search history because it caches previous entrance points that could be wrong once the map updates. So give it another shot in around two days time and if it’s still directing you to the old address, just clear your search history (but anybody that hasn’t navigated to that address will get the correct address).
