I’m trying to resolve a user report here. State Highway 57 is an overpass at that point and a user has correctly flagged that it’s indicating it’s an intersection one can turn at. When I go to try and fix this, highway 57 is locked, so there’s nothing I can do.
Is this the correct place to request assistance with this?
Close. I moved it.
I unlocked everything in that general area related to this interchange. Please update all ramps, bridge all segments appropriately, rename, set correct road types, etc. Ramp segments where there clearly isn’t a ramp at all… Messy.
And that section of Main St really doesn’t need to be split either. It’s borderline for the minimum distance between travel lanes and it rather needlessly complicates the interchange.
Thanks for taking time to clean it up!
Thanks. Still in that same area, there’s a superfluous road in the data the simply doesn’t exist in real life (link). It’s set to “no entrance” but ideally it should be deleted. When I try to delete it, though, the option just isn’t there.
I’m absurdly new to the map editing thing, so I’m not sure if this is intended behavior, or if there’s some reason this road is being protected, or what. It’s not showing as locked, it’s just not letting me remove it. In fact, this seems to be affecting several of the segments in the area of this overpass, but most of the others I’ve been able to work around just by restricting turns (as much as I wanted to blow away that entire interchange as redraw it)… this one just should be outright removed, though, and I can’t seem to do it.
Make a change to that segment’s geometry first and save. Then you should be able to delete it. This is a known issue with the current editor. (Unable to delete unlocked segments when the last editor was higher ranking.)
I fixed all the remaining issues at this interchange, set road type, removed extra junctions, named Main St on all segments and set Main St as a Minor Hwy (it’s MA-1590) up to the junction with Suffield.
