Is it just my imagination, or have the new camera reports suddenly stopped for the past couple of days? I don’t seem to have to keep removing them to find the important stuff underneath. ![]()
No, it’s not just your imagination, and no it’s not a bug…
I noticed the other day when i reported one myself i never got any points so I am assuming that’s the reason why we not seeing as many ![]()
If it is not a bug, then I class that as a result!! Having that turned off was on my list of requests/questions at the last Waze meeting (that never did get discussed or answered) :?
A quick poke around in the WME Beta forum (which, based on your signature images, you ought to have access to) will provide the official answer on this point.
I hadn’t noticed the beta tester icon when I wrote my earlier reply, hence its caginess - despite this being a change which affects both beta and prod, as there’s not been an official public announcement of the change (AFAIK) I don’t want to risk falling foul of the beta confidentiality agreement…
Thanks Chris, I only got the Beta a few weeks ago - on the same day I got AM for Devon and joined my first map raid, so I missed going to the forum to see what was happening.
Because most countries are not deploying new cameras, and many are actually quickly removing old cameras, the decision has been made to turn off the new camera reporting feature by Region. As you know, most new camera reports are false anyway. For more information on your area, I suggest you contact your Regional Coordinator or State Manager.

OK. Technically it is announced in the Beta forum - but it affects everyone, so I don’t see there’s any point in confidentiality about this point. Speed cameras reports from the app are no longer being pushed to WME.
We were originally told about this being upcoming back in September. Re-reading that announcement, we were told we could inform our communities anyway  :
Cameras stopped coming through to WME a week ago:
So there is still work to be done on the client. But then we’ve been letting drivers report invalid speed limits and dumping them into a beta/black hole for over a year, so I don’t know how quickly the client will get changes for camera.
