Hi there Eugene! First and foremost, great to have you on board and thanks for reaching out to get started!
We have a NJ Editors Google Hangout (GHO) where editors can ask questions, request unlocks, get assistance etc. Great place to learn and get to know the other volunteer editors in the state. If you get me your email address (either through here or a PM) I will send you an invite. As you start editing, you’ll find that you are limited to editing roads locked at your rank. That’s where the community can help out- you can request downlocks of segments either in the GHO or through the Unlock/Update Request Forums.
I’d also highly recommend reading through the Waze wiki as much as possible to start learning some of the concepts/methods to editing the maps. Here are a few links to get you started:
