Hi I’m really new to map editing and I couldn’t find the answer to my question.
I’ve edited my home town quite a bit (adding path ways and connecting roads that were disconnected) and the edits number when I’m on the Map Edit hasn’t increased. Also, nor has the map itself when I go onto the Waze app on my phone.
I was wondering at what time do edits get verified and my account updated? And when will the edits go live?

Theres also a “status” link at the bottom of the editor.
It usually takes a couple of days for edits to appear in the app, sometimes longer.
Points updates can take much longer…but they will eventually appear.

A little addition to the above, edits made to roads do not require approval and appear in the App after a map tile rebuild, the LiveMap runs off a different schedule so may not show your changes at the same time. If you have mapped Places, businesses etc, then until you have your first 10 locations approved they will need an L2+ editor to approve them.
Well done on finding this forum, there is a large amount of useful information here to help you edit, and as you have already done, do ask any questions as we are all happy to help out. Editing in Waze is a little different to other mapping systems as we are not trying to create a map that perfectly reflects our road network. Footpaths for example should only be mapped if they are useful to navigation, a row of houses that can only be accessed on foot. We don’t map every lane in car parks, we sometimes don’t map every lane at junctions either as we believe simplicity is best.
