New roads not showing in Waze app search results

I’ve seen two UR recently both complaining that new roads, whilst on the map, are not visible in Waze’s search results:

Here at Noble Close in Chester: permalink
and Grasscroft Way in Whalley, Lancashire: permalink

Now, if I search for Grasscroft Way, and click on More Search results for…: it does show up. I’m assuming this is because it’s mapped in Google Maps.

If I search for Noble Close, and click on More Search results for…: it doesn’t show up. I’m confirmed that Noble Close isn’t mapped in Google maps. (If I search for a particular house number in Noble Close the More search results do appear. The house numbers are set in Waze.)

So the question is, it there something wrong with Waze’s search database being populated with new roads, and if not, how long does it take this database to be populated with this new roads?

I’ve noticed this also. I think someone is going to raise it at the conference.

I have added a question to the Waze Conference form regarding this issue as it does negate the fact we map roads well ahead of the competition but they fail to be of any use other than being drivable.

As for how long it takes… soon

Ahh, sorry. That’s me not checking first before posting!

This issue is particularly annoying for me because I live on a new road that I recently created a couple of weeks ago, and I’m unable to set an accurate “home” location on my Waze app. I have no choice but to set it to an older street a fair distance away. Very annoying!

No need to apologise, in fact if you wanted to add the question again it may get more attention and you may ask in a slightly different manor.
