New to Waze and Intro

Hello Team Australia,

First of all, just like to put out there, “How much fun is Waze?” I’ve been a member for a short time and really enjoying using the APP and now editing. Just wanted to say hello to you all and hope to get to know you all as time goes on.

My name is Miles and I use waze a fair bit as an UBER driver in and around Western Sydney as a 2nd job. I’ve spent sometime over the last few days doing some additions in the below areas and was hoping someone with a level 2 or above could please check them out and approve them:

Penrith
Windsor
Richmond
Bligh Park
Springwood

Also, when changes are approved in the map editor, how long does it normally take for it to appear on the live map?

depending on what you edit if you cancel a road closure changes are approved automatically other things as adding information to a place pend moderation so that takes a day usually.

Also, remember that the map chat and forum are always available if you have queries. There may be times where it takes a few days for someone to come and answer a question, but better to ask and be certain than to never ask and break the map (resulting in a user report sometime down the track, we’ve all been there at some point).

Welcome Miles,
It looks like a lot of your edits are new places or place updates. These a quite straight forward. If editing any roads please read the wiki thoroughly as its easy to get it wrong and compromise routing for other users and destroy the data associated with each segment.

It is relatively easily to check what an editor has been doing by looking at their editor profile.
e.g.https://www.waze.com/user/editor/Milesburdo
Places, for some reason, do require approval - unlike edits to roads.
I’ve just approved a whole heap of places/place updates in western Sydney.
I also noticed another user name something like Uber_miles (can’t remember exactly or find it now). Probably best to stick to one username so that you maximise your edits.

Thanks Ali - Appricate your help with these. Yeah I changed my username this morning, was not to happy with the orginal one, so Ill stick with the new one from now on.

Ill read over the WIKI, that seems like a good bible for what happens around here. I wont go anywhere near roads at this stage, Ill leave it to the experts (You guys :)).
