Hi folks, I am a new user and keen to help. I have started marking places in and around Launceston. I would appreciate if a level 2 or above editor could check those changes and approve them.
Looking forward to join and help improve this community.
Hey Andrew. Welcome to Waze, hope you enjoy your journey here.
Please have a good read of the Australian Wiki and editing etiquette here. It has lots of good tips and guidance to Waze Editing: https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58027
And feel free to ask any of the other members of the forum questions if you are not sure. Remember all your changes are LIVE and can affect how other Wazers drive around your community, so make informed additions, changes to the map. Best to make these changes once and not having to go over your handy work fixing small errors up.
If you want a more experienced editor to review or comment on your work, remember to provide a Permalink (that’s the link options at the bottom right of your screen) of the map you are looking at. That really helps us zero in quickly and help you out.
Some roads (as you have noticed) are Lvl-2 and up. These restrictions are there to protect the road integrity of the Waze network. If you notice something that needs changing on a higher level road, just put a post in the AU Unlock and Update Requests forum and we can either fix it, or drop the road level for you to fix yourself.
As you gain more editing experience, your access Level will also rise giving your more access.
Hi Andrew welcome to Waze
As i read from PS_Au’s last post he mentioned that any requests to be posted about level drops or fixes in the
AU Unlock and Update Requests page
Hi Andrew,
We have several forums here in Australia, however for starters perhaps post them in the State that you are editing in (ie: Tasmania). Then those who are familiar with Tasy can assist you better than those who are not. If you accidentally post something in the wrong forum, we’ll help you out and give you some guidance.
Simply start a New Topic in this forum and go from there.
