Thank you for that insightful catch.

The team updated the source files for the turn icons as part of a general style update.

I checked the icons on both Retina and non-Retina displays. The difference is minimal on the latter, so I’ve left it out of the change log to avoid unnecessary confusion.

Thanks for the question. I see you are part of the Beta program, so I’d encourage you to check the dedicated Traffic Lights in the app thread. (Quick answer: yes, they will be visible without an active route as well.)

Quick question. What about the inactive streetlights?

They exist, but they haven’t worked for about 10 years and will probably stay that way.

Thank you for raising this question, I’ve brought it up with the team.
Inactive street lights can also be mapped, but we might need to discuss it further to provide a definitive answer. I’ll keep you posted on that.

Great update, i have noticed that the " Map Team " messages are all in English as default. it would be good if the Map Team can detect the prefer language of the user, and send the message in their prefer language. Specially for example in Miami and Puerto Rico, there is a lot of people that only speak Spanish, so when they get the message in English they wont reply to that message until i send the response in Spanish. so if ge get the Map Team message in the prefer language the possibility of getting a reply will increase.
i made a Suggestion for this just in case, Make the Map Team replies detect the prefer language of the user to send the first message in the user language – Waze Suggestion Box

Map Team uses custom messages submitted by local communities. As of now, the system cannot auto-translate them as these are not translatable strings; instead it sends the exact text provided during the opt-in process.

Thank you! Just letting you know that often, the speed does not work properly. For 10 kmh, it will say 1, 20 will say 2, 30 will say 3, etc. Am I the only one that this is happening to?

We’ve had a similar issue reported in the Beta Bugs section (you might not have access to it as you’d need to be part of the Beta program), where the last digit would be cut off. I see you’ve raised it here as well, so if you’d like to continue this conversation/provide more information, feel free to do so in that topic (the issue is not related to WME ).

I submitted the Azerbaijani translation suggestion 1 year and 7 months ago. After 1 month, I received confirmation that it was added. But the Azerbaijani language option has not yet been added to Waze Map Editor. Has this problem been forgotten in 1 year and 7 months?

My problem is that when I select “all types,” I have missing URs from my list (something I notice when I select each UR manually, or just know my URs).

Currently, the related ticket is still in progress, so the language has not been added to WME yet. I will update you once I have more information.

The entry for the brand of a gas station is now “Parking operator”. Entry “Brand” was still there today before the announcement that there is a new beta version.

This also applies to the German language at least. The corresponding term for “Brand” is no longer used there, but rather the corresponding term for “Parking operator”. Maybe there was a string exchanged.
