New WME v2.340

Hi Everyone :waving_hand:

We hope you’re all doing great.

We’ve just released a new version of WME v2.340 :rocket:

Below you can find a summary of the release.

New features/enhancements:

Updated:

  1. We are excited to share that the Traffic Light feature is now live in WME Production for all environments!
  • Please read the detailed feature description in the dedicated post. We encourage you to give it a try and share your feedback in the mentioned post.

  • This version also includes a list of Improvements for Traffic Lights added after testing the feature in IL:

    • Improved the visual experience for junction boxes and complex intersections:

      • now, when selecting a specific traffic light, we display only the turn arrows directly impacted by that TL, rather than all segment turns.
    • Introduced a change making turn arrows non-clickable when a specific traffic light is selected; this smoothes the flow and prevents accidental edits.

    • Added an explanatory tooltip for the Crossing paths section in the ’TL& impacted turns’ panel.

    • Have improved the logic for handling short segments, specifically when zoomed in:

      • previously, traffic lights could only be added to very short segments via the node. Now, the system highlights the relevant portion of the short segment, allowing the traffic light to be placed correctly.

Bug fixes:

We released 10 bug fixes:

1. WME Performance: resolved the bug where WME showed a lot of Content Security Policy Violations.

2. Merging nodes: fixed the issue where the error ‘There’s a problem with the highlighted segment & node’ would appear, which previously required additional steps or repeated save clicks to bypass.

3. WME places: fixed a case where deleting a duplicate external provider in Waze deleted both providers.

4. WME Search: resolved the issue where the search bar didn’t update the map on the first attempt.

5. UR emails: fixed the problem where users didn’t receive response emails for submitted URs.

6. Traffic Light fixes (found during testing the feature in IL):

  • Addressed an issue where some turns were falsely excluded from the Previous ramp section in the ‘TL& impacted turns’ panel.
  • Resolved a case where U-turn wasn’t included in the Impacted turns section.
  • Corrected an issue where the ‘TL& impacted turns’ panel failed to be displayed for traffic lights set on a turn into a roundabout.
  • Fixed the issue where turns are missing for the TLs inside the junction box with a few alternative routes.

7. Closures: fixed a flow where the road closures were not shown under turn closures.

You can read more here.

We look forward to receiving your feedback! :envelope_with_arrow:

Thank you and regards,
Nataliia

Thanks @Nataliia_Staff. Are traffic lights supposed to be released to production WME? They’re visible in the menu, but it wasn’t mentioned in your announcement post.

I am not sure if the original post was modified after your post but I see info about traffic light
BTW - I was waiting to “see’ TL” in prod.

Excellent release! Getting rid of those CSP errors helps a lot when monitoring logs for script creation.

URs that have comments are missing the comment bubble again in this version.

It looks like both those URs have no comments but they do in fact have comments.

Thank you for flagging this, @ojlaw. I see the 3-dot bubble icon is visible on beta, so we’ll check this misbehavior with the team.

Question: Will the traffic lights only be visible when following a route, or also without following a route?

Quick question. What about the inactive streetlights?

They exist, but they haven’t worked for about 10 years and will probably stay that way.

Great update, i have noticed that the " Map Team " messages are all in English as default. it would be good if the Map Team can detect the prefer language of the user, and send the message in their prefer language. Specially for example in Miami and Puerto Rico, there is a lot of people that only speak Spanish, so when they get the message in English they wont reply to that message until i send the response in Spanish. so if ge get the Map Team message in the prefer language the possibility of getting a reply will increase.
i made a Suggestion for this just in case, Make the Map Team replies detect the prefer language of the user to send the first message in the user language – Waze Suggestion Box

Has the CSS for the turn arrow been modified?

How to properly configure an H or # intersection?

The 2 traffic lights in the middle should not be there as you stop in front of the intersection. And not again on the second lane

Just deleted them…
Hope this is the right way
