Why is it no longer possible to enter opening hours that go beyond the 24-hour limit?
When I adjust the time via the Waze app, it is accepted.
- Select a Place
- Under Opening Hours, update the time e.g. 10 AM to 1 AM
- Error “Start time should be before end time”
I’m able to reproduce this bug too

Steps to reproduce this issue:
venue opening times on friday and saturday go past midnight to 01:00 (am) but wme bounces an error even though the start time is from the previous day? so have had to add time upto midnight then a separate entry from midnight to 1am which i don’t ever recall having to do?

This change was introduced in v2.343
To log hours that cross midnight (like your 17:00–02:00 example), you’ll now need to split them into two entries:
- Fri: 17:00 – 23:59
- Sat: 00:00 – 02:00
It adds an extra step, but it ensures the “opening hours” logic stays pinned to the correct calendar day.

That makes it easier to enter it via the app; it saves the extra steps.

I’ll post my feedback in the WME thread where it has some more visibility, but I think this is a detrimental change, when a simple validation warning could have been added instead.
