Hi! Some of you may know that I’ve been doing editing in Northern California, and also some in Southern Washington…I’d been checking out changes in road type near state lines. Found this…
From http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php?title=To_Do_-_Oregon …
“At some point, as Waze and the Oregon highway system map in Waze matures, we may adopt the ODOT Primary classification as found in the History of State Highways in Oregon table of contents.”
Based on work I’ve done up to California’s state line, I wonder if Oregon AM/CMs may want to start having this discussion, whether that standard is the one above, an ODOT FC (is that here? http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/TD/TDATA/Pages/gis/countymaps.aspx ), or another entirely.
As things are now, some odd routing choices seem to be happening, like…
Bend, OR to Crescent City, CA

Lakeview, OR to Gold Beach, OR

The last thing I want to do is step on toes here. Ultimately, whatever you decide to do is yours! I just wondered if you all may want to talk about it! Thanks!
