Parking Lot roads - locking level

Hi,

I have noticed that several parking lot roads have been changed to L2 from auto.

I cannot see anywhere on Wazeopedia directions to set to L2.

Could someone please clarify for me, as I do not think I have missed an instruction.

I think this normally happens when an inexperienced editor comes along and then adds every single PLR against guidelines in the Wazeopedia. Locking them to L2/3 prevents them going back, and rejoining them to the existing PLRs making cleaning it up a lot quicker and hopefully bringing to their attention that this is not necessary.

Thanks! I did seem to recall something - but failed to find it.

I hadn’t checked the places article. Having only looked in the Car Parks and Roads sections. Seems like it is 3 and not even 2.

I note that supermarkets etc., should be 2 as well.

Be aware of the wording, cars parks & roads should be locked to 3, completed supermarket places can be locked to 2 :wink:

I really, really, realy, should revamp the wiki locking policy page as I’ve been promising myself.

It does seem strange that a new editor can make changes to a reasonably well used street at Auto(1) but can’t edit a supermarket car park road.
But then again, my first action as an editor was to intricately map each parking lane in my work car park… :lol:
