I like to use Waze with full voice navigation enabled (street names and road signs) while listening to podcasts via Downcast in the background while driving.
Unfortunately when Waze gets excited about an upcoming turn or exit and wants to read a fifteen word exit sign verbatim multiple times in short order Waze only ducks the audio for the podcast I am listening to so I miss noticeable chunks in the podcast. I am of course driving so I don’t have much ability rewind the podcast to replay the parts that Waze interrupted. It would be great if Waze had an option to pause background music/podcast audio instead of just ducking the volume so that I won’t miss half the podcast when the Waze voice navigation gets chatty. Setting the voice nav to brief reduces the problem, but it still cuts out parts of the podcast conversation in the background.
