Please allow a turn onto Segment ID: 527091812 in Bloomfield, from one way exit only lane during select hours

Hi there,

Regular, long time Waze user, from back in the days where driving along literally created roads.

Finally got tired of Waze dinging over and over as I try to leave this business via it’s preferred method for turning left out of the business at the end of a day.

Can you allow the segment ID: 541616206 to please be able to turn onto ID: 527091812,

(preferably left only, as the business encourages use of nearby larger and constantly open ID: 504324589 “Vision Way” to make right turns)

To let Waze allow people to make this turn out of the business?

If someone needs proof, just look at streetmaps of the area, you’ll see its clearly gated and marked exit only.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. I remember the early days of Wazing in CT! I became an editor because many of the roads I needed to travel weren’t mapped at all.

Can you tell us which business in Bloomfield you are referring to?

I had thought that the ID’s were searchable and took you to the roads. My bad.

The intersection is the one way I’ve created coming out of Kaman Corporation onto Old Windsor Road.

The nearest intersection is “Old Windsor Road & Millbrook Cmn, Bloomfield, CT”.

No worries, I just learned there is a 3rd party script which can perform advanced searches in WME, so it is technically possible, we both learned something!

As for that segment, the reason it wasn’t allowing turns is because it was not actually connected to Old Windsor Rd. I’ve connected it for you however noticed in your comment and the street view there is a gate. Is the gate open all the time or is there a schedule when it is closed?

The segment is set up to be one directional and only allow that direction during the open hours, which is 2:30-5:00 pm (plus some extra time each side based on random security people doing the actual act of unlocking the gate.) It should have worked? But maybe since it wasn’t connected (why wasn’t it?) it didn’t activate?

I’ve added the restriction times for the entire week, shout it only apply to M-F?

As far as why the segment wasn’t connected, you were trying to connect it to a mH with the lock level of 3. You may not have had high enough editing privileges.

So, the things I set up were ‘restrictions’ not ‘allows’, okay, I think I get it.

The waze router doesn’t want to use that road. I was there this evening, 4:45pm local, and once I got to the connector, it suggested I needed to turn around and use Vision way to get out.. :frowning:

I’ve adjusted the restrictions, to see if it helps.
