Last I checked, red light enforcement cameras were not legal in Michigan. Has that changed? There is a user reporting several around Kalamazoo over the weekend.
There was a bill introduced early in the summer, but that went nowhere. According to the Michigan State Police website and other resources, “automated enforcement cameras may not be used in Michigan”.

Perhaps the user saw a traffic monitoring camera and confused it with a red light camera, or perhaps he’s just reporting falsely.
Some users, I imagine, report “camera” for live cops, or for the wrong kinds of cameras: https://www.waze.com/wiki/Cameras#Know_your_Cameras
Of course, it’s perfectly safe to delete every reported enforcement camera in the state of Michigan.
Thanks all!
