I work for the Parks & Rec Department in Fountain Hills. Our department frequently closes down roads for our events. We would like to start posting these closures to Waze but are unable to. Is there anyone able to give us some guidance?
I’ve reached out to our more senior editors, but in the meantime, there is several ways to handle it. The easiest for you, is to just let us know where to find the info. Next easiest is to become an editor and put in the closures yourself. And then there the Partnership option, where your systems automatically share information with Waze (or vice versa if interested in receiving Waze’s traffic info).
Thanks for reaching out!
Thank you for your interest, usa_hulempx0!!!
The program you are looking for is the Connected Citizens Program (CCP). It is a partnership between Waze and local municipalities.
The primary page is: https://www.waze.com/ccp.
This is where you would apply for the partnership: https://partnerdash.google.com/waze/start#p=start&program=CCP.
Let us know if you need anything else.

We also have a twitter page that we monitor for closures and where people can communicate with us
Hello!
I was also hoping to get some insight on how to submit temporary road closures.
I do not work for a city/municipality, but I am in charge of security for a museum in Cleveland, OH.
We are on a small area called North Coast Harbor, where the Cleveland Brown Stadium, the Great Lakes Science Center, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are located.
We are constantly having road closures in the area due to different events always going on.
Like this weekend the MLB All-Star game has closures throughout the area, including by us.
But the closures by us are not noted in the live map.
This morning on my way in, I marked the closures on the app, and marked it for several days. (Closures are from Sat. 6am to Mon. 12pm)
But now looking on the map, my edits are already gone, and having Waze up-to-date with detours is really important for visitors to make it into the area.
I know you have to level up to note closures, but living/working in Downtown Cleveland, I don’t find many opportunities to make map edits to be able to level up.
What suggestions can you offer to help me out getting this info up?
Also, I am unsure if I should be using the map issue selection to send it over, because it’s just a temporary closure, not really an issue…?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
