Could the “Address panel key” shortcut flip back to the General tab when the last used tab might have been Closures or Lanes & Roads width?
The script breaks the basic function of using Enter to create a new line in all textboxes inside WME (Map comment description/reply, UR relpy, Venue description, and so on).
Thank you for reporting the issue. The problem with using Enter to create a new line in textboxes inside WME (Map comment description/reply, UR reply, Venue description, etc.) will be fixed in the next update. Please stay tuned for the update, which will include many new features as well!
Regarding your previous comment about the “Address panel key” shortcut flipping back to the General tab when the last used tab might have been Closures or Lanes & Roads width, I will also take that into account for the upcoming update.
However, please note that due to study commitments, the release might be slightly delayed. Thank you for your understanding!
Just a tip: I am remapping “Save changes” shortcut from the default “ctrl + S” to “S” and it works 100% flawlessly w/o any interferences to typing, editing, etc.
Too bad “S” is a hotkey I already use for the native function (spread arrows)
My point is that assigning a regular key (like “S”) makes saving much more convenient and streamlined than using “Ctrl+S” or hunting for the [Save] button on screen.
Hi editors,
I’m thrilled to introduce WME Enhanced Actions v2.0! This new version brings streamlined editing, improved shortcut options, and a few exciting new features to make your Waze editing experience even more efficient and enjoyable. This script is designed to save you time and simplify repetitive tasks, allowing you to focus on editing.

- Press “Enter” to confirm actions automatically. This function helps eliminate unnecessary clicks, allowing you to quickly confirm edits without manually searching for and pressing the “Apply” button.
2. Customizable Save Shortcut
- Assign a personalized Save Shortcut (a combination of keys, like Ctrl + S) to save changes instantly. This feature helps you save your edits efficiently without reaching for the save button every time.
- New in v2.0: You can now easily toggle the shortcut recording mode on and off, allowing more flexibility in choosing and setting the combination.
3. Enhanced Key Combination Recording
- Recording Mode On/Off Toggle: Easily control when to record key combinations by pressing the “On/Off” button, which makes assigning shortcuts straightforward and intuitive.
- Improved User Interface: The interface now indicates when recording is active, making it clearer when you’re setting a new shortcut.
4. Language Detection and Localization
- The script now automatically detects and supports multiple languages: English, Spanish, and Catalan.
- It customizes the interface text based on the editor’s language preference, enhancing usability for non-English speakers.
5. Additional Features Panel
- Feature List: New panel displays a list of available features to keep editors informed about what’s available. It highlights key shortcuts and automation options.
- On-screen Indicators: Clear on-screen hints guide you through using new features, like how to set up the save shortcut and toggle recording.
6. Streamlined Sidebar Panel
- All settings are accessible in a convenient sidebar panel, allowing easy adjustments and customization without leaving the editor.
- New in v2.0: Updated design with improved styling, icons, and clearer labels for a more intuitive experience.

Fixed in the new update! Sorry for the delay.
Implemented in the new update. Sorry for the delay.
Thanks a lot.
In regards to #3 - are there more functions to record key combinations for? I only see the save. Also, is there a way to clear the selected shortcut?
PS: I still don’t understand the overengineering of the default shortcut for Saving changes
Now, for skipping the Save Anyway box that displays. When you use the key it autosaves skipping that.
Just tried the script. It is possibly a lack of my understanding but:
- Are you aware that “ctrl+s” is a default Waze shortcut for saving ?
- Are you aware that a user can normally change shortcuts? (Click “keyboard shortcuts” on the bottom of the screen → click the shortcuts you want to change → Pres new keyboard combination. → Close the dialog)
How does your shortcut management relate to the default waze’s shortcut management?
