The Search bar often fails to update the map on the first attempt.
Enter search criteria, wait for the drop-down, click the correct entry, no move.
I have to click in the box again select from the drop-down list a second time to get the map to move to the searched location.
This behavior is observed without scripts
I am seeing the same behavior.
This has been happening for many WME versions. It’s pretty annoying. It was noted in another search bar bug although the nothing happening behavior is different than the parent bug. Maybe a new bug needs to be filed for this? … or just pile on the other bug.

I’ve moved this example to a separate bug report.
As @ojlaw mentioned, it might be related to the cases discussed in the Search Bar Results topic.
However, when I try to reproduce the issue on my side, the flow is a bit different: the address appears in the search field as found, but you need to click once and then repeat the action — only after that does the map update. It happens randomly for me as well.

I support this, the search bar is far from being any kind of intuitive.. a partial input with enter should lead to results, the current solution forces the user to wait until (maybe) any usable results show up. If you are too fast, you end up somewhere or nowhere.
Fixing long standing issues would be better than “improving” UI and breaking important stuff.
I am still experiencing this behavior. Any updates?

Now it doesn’t work in multiple attempts
Indeed, the search functionality seems to have gotten worse and it’s completely random whether it works at all after multiple attempts.
